the Project

The intervention of acoustic adaptation is part of a wider program of adaptation and modernization of the company canteens at the service of an important Industrial Group.
Specifically, Gruppo Ingegneria Torino was involved in interventions aimed at mitigating and eliminating the noise present there, in order to bring it below the legal limits.

The following activities were carried out to achieve these objectives:

  • acquisition of existing documentation from the property (building-architectural drawings and layouts of AHU piping) and survey of the types of materials that make up the building envelope
  • evaluation of the actual state of affairs by means of a phonometric survey on site (calculation of Reverberation Time RT)
  • 3D pre-operational acoustic modeling (state of the art) using the Odeon 12 prediction software
  • Reclamation modeling using the Odeon 12 prediction software
  • choice of materials and executive design of the interventions.

The design took into account the following aspects:

  • subdivision into functional lots and consequent production of several complete and distinct design sets
  • the need to standardize the architectural image of company canteens.
